See his obituary in The Akron Beacon Journal 6 June 1983. August's draft registration at age 54 in 1942 states he is employed by the Schaefer-Wilson Co. and r. 35 Byers Ave., Akron, OH. The 1900 federal census lists him in his father's family in Tuscarawas Twp., Stark Co., OH. August's brother Jacob (1878-1962) is buried in the Massillon City Cemetery in Stark Co., OH as are his parents.
