[6566] Find A Grave memorial 206007756 offers Dawn's obituary: "Dawn Pinkham Crocker, aged 89, passed away on Thanksgiving Thursday, Nov. 28th, 2019. Dawn was born on January 26th,1930 in Castine, Maine to John Ames and Bernice Conner; she grew up in Portland, Maine. Dawn studied to be a nurse and received her degree from Massachusetts General Hospital. While still in training, Dawn fell in love with Darwin Pinkham and in August, 1951, they married and raised one daughter, Judith Ames Pinkham. After receiving her registered nursing degree in Boston, Dawn worked as a nurse at the South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. She later found her true calling and worked with passionate commitment as an elder care advocate for the Eastern Area Agency for Aging in Bangor, Maine. During her retirement from her advocacy for the aging, she found satisfaction working as a literacy volunteer in Orono, Maine. Dawn had a gift and passion for writing poetry inspired by her beloved Maine coast. She loved cooking and baking the traditional Maine meals of her grandmothers and was the designated Family Pie Queen for every occasion. She took great pride in keeping an immaculate home, grew and tended her flowers, and her daughter and husband proudly wore the beautiful clothes she lovingly sewed and knitted for them. She was deeply devoted to her faith and was a long-time member of the Methodist church of Orono, Maine. Dawn is predeceased by her husbands C. Darwin Pinkham and the Reverend Clayton Crocker and by her sister, Gayle Morrisey. She is survived by her daughter Judith Pinkham, her grandson Adam Cataldo, her nieces Kate, Carole, and Alison, her nephew William, her cousins Jan and Coleen, and her six great nieces and nephews."
[51614] Sarah's grave marker names her Fannie S. Higgins. She is daughter of Reuben Billings (1811-1899) & Sarah W Clark (1816-1872; m. ca. 1838 on Mount Desert Island, Hancock Co., ME).

[44590] See "The Royal Bastards of Medieval England," Chris Given-Wilson & Alice Curteis, pp. 136-7. Also see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_de_Southeray which offers: "John de Southeray (1364 - 1383) was an illegitimate son of King Edward III of England by his mistress Alice Perrers. He was the oldest of Perrers' three acknowledged illegitimate children by her royal lover. He was knighted in April 1377, alongside the future King Richard II. That same year, he was married to a daughter of Henry de Percy, 3rd Baron Percy; she divorced him in 1380, claiming she had not consented to the marriage. During the abortive Castilian campaign led by his half-brother the Earl of Cambridge in 1381, John led a contingent of English soldiers.[3] After his troops went unpaid, John led them in a mutiny; he may have been only a figurehead for the mutineers, though, as he (unlike the other conspirators) went unpunished afterwards."
