[61060] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 16 December 2025: "Robert 'Dale' Jordan, 88, of Eastbrook, Maine, passed away on Dec. 13, 2025, at the Machias Veterans Home with family by his side. He was born on Aug. 9, 1937, in Waltham, the son of Elliot and Marguerite L. (Bunker) Jordan. He served in the Air Force four years, Desert Storm and retired after 25 years at the Air National Guard in Bangor. After retirement, he worked for the family business Elliot Jordan and Son in Waltham driving trucks, rocking the blueberry fields, and whatever was needed to be done for work. Growing up, Dale enjoyed building race cars with his brothers during the week and racing dirt track on the weekends. He enjoyed working on engines and anything mechanical, fishing, snowmobiling, and being outside. He became the Worshipful Master of the Ellsworth Masonic lodge and member of the Anah Shrine Second Section in Bangor. In the summers, he could always be found at the Jordans Snack Bar Cruise In listening to music, dancing, and looking at the classic cars. Dale is survived by three sons Geoffrey Jordan of Harrisburg, Pa., Jason Jordan of North Berwick, Maine and his wife Beth, his granddaughters Mackenzie and Lauren. Ryan Jordan of Waltham, Maine. Daughter Luann Sligo and Rick of South Hadley, Mass. His three grandsons Joshua Whitcomb of Everett, Wash., Jonathan Whitcomb of West Granby, Conn., Timmy Ferreira of Belchertown, Mass. He is survived by his brother Marshall and wife Patsy of Waltham, Maine, and his sister Gloria and husband Ronald Gregory. He was predeceased by his daughter Robin Ferreira, and siblings Philip, Polly Madalyn, Harvey, Ernestine, Tom, Russell, Jimmy."
