Their son, the Hon Nathanial Coffin, b. in Newbury, MA 19 March 1708 had Dr. Edmund Coffin to moved to Eliot (York Co.), Maine about 1730 and practised as a physician there; Edmund m. 15 Nov 1732 Shuah, dau. of Nathan Bartlett, and their children are listed on p. 324 of "Old Kittery and Her Families," Everett S. Stackpole (Lewiston, ME: 1903). Sarah was first m. 3 October 1686 to Henry Dole (1663-1690) with whom she had Apphia and Sarah.

[38790] A newspaper article dated 1 September 1875, reprinted in "The Airy View" (newsletter of The Perry Historians), Vol. 28, No. 1, gives lengthy information concerning Jacob Lupher, collector of state and county taxes in Rye Twp., Cumberland (now Perry) County; this article states that Jacob was b. in Germany in 1721 and emigrated to America in 1752, settling first in Berks Co., PA where he m. "Miss Gumber," moving in 1778 to Sherman's Valley, Rye Twp. (just west of New Bloomfield). He donated the lots for the Church and cemetery in Loysville.
