[39938] See "Descendants of Edward Small of New England, and the allied families, with tracings of English ancestry," Lora Altine Woodbury Underhill (Cambridge, MA: Riverside Press, 1910), pp. 1229-1230. https://accessgenealogy.com/maine/settlers-narraguagus-valley.htm offers: "Steuben was formerly township 'No. 4, East of Union River,' and No. 5 comprised the territory now included in the towns of Milbridge and Harrington. The town of Cherryfield is composed of No. 11, Middle Division, Brigham Purchase, and of the northeastern part of what was formerly Steuben. All that part of Cherryfield lying south of the mills on the first or lower dam was, prior to 1826, a part of Steuben, and was called Narraguagus to distinguish it from the settlement in the southwestern part, which was called 'Head of the Bay,' and the post office at Cherryfield was called 'Narraguagus' until within some twenty-five years past. What is now the flourishing town of Milbridge was a part of Harrington until 1848. Harrington (No. 5) was incorporated as a town in 1791, Steuben (No. 4) in 1795, Cherryfield (No. 11) in 181G, and the northeast part of Steuben was annexed to Cherryfield in 1826."

[61182] Richard's obituary: "Skowhegan/Millinocket - Richard 'Dick' Alan Eaton passed at the age of 75 on Sept. 1, 2022 at his home in Skowhegan with his devoted wife of 54 years, Linda, by his side. Richard lived a full, happy and healthy life until about two months ago. Cancer ended his life abruptly and way too soon. He will forever be loved and missed. Richard was born on July 19, 1947 in Millinocket, son of Kenneth and Anne (Moore) Eaton. He graduated from Stearns High School. Richard worked as a papermaker for Great Northern Paper Company for 35 years. Then moved to Skowhegan and became business partners with his best friend, Herbie LePage, opening LePage and Eaton Granite Countertops for the last 20 years. Richard served his country for four years in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Linda (McAllian); and his two daughters and one granddaughter, Wendy Eaton of Canaan, and Michelle Wright along with her husband Earl and their daughter Beth Anne of Deltona, Fla.; also, his brother, Kenny Eaton and wife, Cass, and sister-in-law, Debbie Eaton. He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Bill Eaton."

[22352] Jean Mayo-Lakatos reports in 2003: Elizabeth "was born on July16,1706 in Harwich, Mass. She married on Oct.10,1726 in Harwich, Ebenezer Nickerson.Ebenezer was born in Harwich on June 13,1697 and he died in Provincetown on Feb.15,1768 at the age of about 71. I don't see another marriage for Elizabeth Mayo at all. The children of Elizabeth Mayo and Ebenezer Nickerson were: 1.Seth Nickerson: b.1737; d.1801; married Mar.19?,1761...hard to read...to Mary Smith of Chatham. Their child was named Capt. Ebenezer Nickerson; b.1768; d.1857; married secondly on Sept. 28,1805 in Provincetown, Eudoxa White. He moved to Boston.Ebenezer Nickerson and Eudoxa White had a child named Rev. Thomas White Nickerson, Sr., who was born in Boston in 1826 and died in 1905. On Jan. 6,1848, in Boston, the Rev.Nickerson married Martha Tillinghast Wescott(1829-1868).Martha and the Rev.had a son named Philip Tillinghast Nickerson, born on Sept. 17,1862 in Brookline, Mass. That is all I have on that line. My source is:"The Genealogy of Rev. John Mayo" by E. Jean Mayo. If Elizabeth Mayo's husband, Ebenezer Nickerson was about 71 when he died in 1768,and Elizabeth appears to have been 9 years younger or thereabouts than her husband, she would have been about 62 when he died."
