She is survived by two children, Stanley Hanscom and wife, Sherry, of Hermon, Joyce Chapman and husband, Mike, of Bangor; dearly loved brothers and sisters, Bertha Brooks of Florida, Ethel Turner of Bangor, George Potter and wife, Elaine, of Bangor, Eugene Potter and wife, Lorraine, of New Jersey; 10 grandchildren, Susan, Shawn, Todd, Shelly, Sarah, Clyde, Shawn C., Eric, Kevin and Philip; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Laurence B. Hanscom in 2005; three brothers, Ralph, William and Frank; and a sister, Myrtle."
