Muriel graduated from Brewer High School, class of 1964, where she made many lifelong friends. After marrying Gordon Smith they had two sons, Dwayne and Dale, and moved back to Columbia Falls. Muriel worked various jobs throughout her life, most notably at Mrs. Big John's and as the administrative assistant for the town of Columbia Falls. Mom was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. She enjoyed spending time her family and friends, especially at Montegail Pond. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Dwayne and Clark; husband, Gordon; and her son, Dale, who she missed dearly and is now reunited with him. She is survived by her son, Dwayne; his wife, Kimberly; grandsons, Derek and Devin, who were her whole world; her sister, Clara, all of Columbia Falls; and her special cat, Boots."
