Find A Grave Memorial 125369027 offers: "He was known as John Hanson of Woodhouse. His will was proven at York on April 3, 1554. In his will he states he is 'to be buried in the churchyard at Elland.' 'On the third day of April, 1554, the Will of John Hanson, late of Woodhouse in Rastricke, in the parish of Eland, in the Diocese of York, deceased, was proved in the Exchequer Court of York by the oaths of Thomas Hanson and Robert Hanson, the sons, and executors in the said Will named.' '....Moreover, I give and beqquiethe to Robert Hansonne, arthure Hanson, and Eliz Hanson, my children, all the residewe of my sheape, before not bequiethed, equallie to be divided among them. The residew of all my goodes and cattalls, moveable and unmoveable, my debts beine paide and funerall expenses discharged, I do give and bequiethe to Edward Hanson of Eland, Thomas Hansonne of Restrike, Robert Hanson, Arthure Hanson, and Eliz.
