Alma is daughter of Lambert A. Eshom and Lissie Searle (1847-1929). The unverified LDS Church Pedigree Resource File states reports Lambert Ayers Eshom, b. 1 April 1825 in Worcester Co., MD, d. 25 Jan 1890 in KS, is son of Robert Eshom (b. 1790 in Worcester Co., MD, d. there ca. 1855) and Mary Ruark (b. ca. 1790 in Worcester Co., MD, d. there by 1830, m. 1 Aug 1814), and that Robert Eshom is son of Solomon Eshom, Jr. (b. 1764 in Snow Hill Worcester Co., MD to Jonathan Eshom and Margaret _____, and his wife Polly _____; Jonathan Eshom is son of Solomon Eshom (b. ca. 1716 in Northampton Co., VA, d. 18 Jan 1777 in Snow Hill, MD) who is son of John Esham [sic] (b. ca. 1663 in Northampton Co., VA, d. there 21 Nov 1716, son of Daniel Isham [sic] and Susanna Thomas - see CD-ROM disc # 51.
"The Winchester Star [Winchester, Kansas], 14 July 1967," p. 4: "Services were held Wednesday at Hampton Funeral Home for Mrs. Alma Briner, 91, Vallejo, Calif., formerly of Oskaloosa, who died Sunday at Vallejo, Calif. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery at Oskaloosa. She was born May 5, 1876 in Jefferson County and lived at Oskaloosa before she moved to California. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Enna Sheldon Shinn, Great Bend; a son, Francis William Briner, Harper; five brothers and seven sisters; three grandsons and five great-grandchildren."
