[37920] "The Perry County Democrat [Bloomfield, PA], 25 September 1901," p. 3: "Mrs. Robert Crozier died on Monday evening at her home at Bridgeport, in Spring township, of dysentery. Her husband and seven children survive, namely : Minnie, (Mrs. Amos Sbatto), of Carroll township; George M., of Harrisburg; William, at home; John A., of Alinda; Robert, of New Jersey ; Nettie, (Mrs. John Bender), of Carroll township ; and Charles, of Bridgeport. She was aged about 65 years. Mrs. Crozier was a good, kind wife and mother, and a most estimable lady. Her sad death will be learned of with deep sorrow by all who knew her." Ancestry.com suggests the meaning of the surname, a variant of Schneider: "occupational name for a tailor, literally cutter, from Middle High German snider, German Schneider, Yiddish shnayder. The same term was sometimes used to denote a woodcutter."
