[37917] William and family are in the 1920 federal census on Swatara St., Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., PA. "Harrisburg Telegraph [Harrisburg, PA], 30 August 1933," p. 9: "Funeral services for William K. Crozier, 68, 1523 Swatara street, who died at his home yesterday, will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, at the home. The Rev. Joseph E. Whitacre, Church of the Brethren, will officiate. The body may be viewed at the home, Friday night. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nellie Crozier; two brothers, Robert Crozier, Newark, N. J.; and Charles N. Crozier, Landisburg; a sister, Mrs. John Bender, Loysville; five daughters, Mrs. Herbert O. Kline, Shrewsbury; Mrs. Milton E. Kohler. Miss Barbara E. Crozier, Miss Wilda A. Crozier and Miss Catherine L. Crozier; one son, Barton W. Crozier; two step-sons, Robert M. Mace and Paul V. Mace, and three grandchildren, all of this city. Crozier was assistant city electrician for twenty-three years. He was a member of the Hope fire company and the Church of the Brethren."

(We know Margaret was a Paul married to a Powel because she mentions her brother John Paul in her will, and her son Isaac gave his father's name as John Powel when his [Isaac's] second marriage was registered.) Margaret married John Powel about 1806; d. abt. 1813 (we assume they were married, although we have found no record to confirm the marriage) Children: (1) Emmanuel Powel,b. June 4, 1807, d.April 16, 1851, bu. Vogansville Cemetery, Lancaster Co. Pa.; married Leah Werntz. (2) Isaac Powl, b. July 15, 1809, d. April 21, 1844, bu. Mellingers Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster, Pa.; married [1] Sally Horning (2) Barbara Buckwalter Lehman (April 5, 1812-April 10, 1897). (3) Lavina Powel, b. abt. 1810, d. ----, bu. ---- (I'm still searching for this info) m. William B. Griffith on March 24, 1831 in Lancaster Co., Pa. William was born about 1805 and died between 1870-1880. (4) Levi Powel, b. 1812, d. 1831, bu. Zeltenreich Cemetery, Leacock Twp. Pa. After Margaret Paul/Powell's husband died, she bought a property which was located at what is now 485 Musser School Road, Leola, Pennsylvania. She first paid taxes on the property in 1814 and willed it to her friend, Abraham Good, in 1821. It was a three-acre property with a small brick house and stable which was in Leacock Township at that time; today it is in Upper Leacock Township. After Margaret bought this property she had a daughter and two sons by her neighbor, Abraham Good (Feb. 26, 1773-Sept. 9, 1854, bu. Zeltenreich Cemetery; married May 28, 1793 to Magdalena Meyer Feb. 9, 1775- ??. Magdalena was still living when her husband had children with Margaret Powell.)

Zion Cemetery, North Canton, Ohio; married in Lancaster Co. Oct. 18, 1842 to Elizabeth Witwer (May 3, 1824- ?? 1912).
"William and Lavina Griffith moved to Warren County, Ohio in the 1840s. In 1853 he bought some Public Domain Land in Edgar County. IL. The family lived there until the 1860s when they moved to Terre Haute, IN. Lavina's sister, Joanna, and her family also moved to Warren Co. in the 1840s and to Edgar Co. in the 1850s. In the 1960s the Coughanowers moved to Carbondale, IL where they lived the rest of their lives."

He served honorably in the United States Navy and worked as a construction worker for 27 years until his retirement at the age of 51. He was a proud member of the LiUNA union. During the summer months, he worked off the coast of Maine as a lobsterman. He is preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Theresa Sereyko Sawyer, son Jeremy and daughter Jessica. Ken is survived by his daughters Mandy Willoughby (John) of Perry, Fla., and Jennifer Fabricius (Paul) of Tacoma, Wash.; grandchildren: Cassidy Arimoto, Nicholas Lindstrom, Malarie Sawyer, Tucker Fabricius, and Emilia Fabricius; special friend and partner, Lynn 'Pixie' Cann of Gainesville, Fla.; a host of siblings and friends; and his right-hand companion, Baxter."

Whitcombe, was 28. He married Janet Mae Foster on 5 November 1951, in Caribou, Aroostook, Maine, United States. He lived in Caribou, Washington, Maine, United States for about 5 years and Falmouth, Cumberland, Maine, United States in 1985. He died on 22 March 2012, in Hillsborough, Orange, North Carolina, United States, at the age of 84." "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 17 April 2012: "Hillsborough, N.C. - Charles Whitcomb Shaw, 84, best known as Whit Shaw, formerly of Falmouth Foreside and Cousins Island, passed away March 22, 2012, in Hillsborough, N.C., from Alzheimer's disease. Throughout the entangled cognitive web of this cruel disease, Mr. Shaw amazingly managed to retain his positive social attitude and beautiful smile. Mr. Shaw was born Jan. 30, 1928, in Caribou, the son of Sterling E. Shaw and Marjorie Whitcomb Shaw. He graduated from Caribou High School in 1945. Mr. Shaw graduated from the University of Maine, Orono, in 1949 and received his Master of Business Administration degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass. Later in life Mr. Shaw received a fellowship from Oxford University in the U.K. Mr. Shaw also served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. Whit Shaw was always proud in saying that he had been an entrepreneur all his life and that 'the Shaws have never worked for anyone,' beginning with his great-grandfather Shaw and on through to his brother, John and his nephew, Johnny Shaw, of Portland. Mr. Shaw's entrepreneurial ventures began as owner and president of the Ford-Mercury Dealership in Caribou, which was the oldest family owned and operated Ford dealership in the U.S. Mr. Shaw's grandfather, Elibe Shaw, traveled to Detroit by train in 1912 to personally meet with Henry Ford and returned to Caribou with four cars thus beginning the enterprise which was ultimately handed to his son, Sterling E. Shaw, who in turn passed it on to Whit Shaw, who ran it for 10 years, from 1963 to 1972. After selling the Ford dealership, Mr. Shaw relocated to Cape Elizabeth with his family, where he spent time writing his book, 'Mind Your Own Business.' He then reinvented himself and founded Whit Shaw Associates, Inc., a national consulting firm for business start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, which he operated until 1990, when he thought he wanted to retire. His retirement was short lived and in 1993, he founded International Corporate Consultants, Ltd., an international business start-up consulting firm, which he operated until 2005. During his lifetime, Mr. Shaw was president of Maine Automobile Dealers Association in 1970; co-founder of WDHP Radio, Inc., Caribou, and president of European Ski Charters Unlimited.
