The Albinis, who were maternally of the house of Mowbray, came into England with William the Conqueror, and obtained large possessions after the victory at Hastings. Nigil's grants lay in the cos. Bucks, Bedford, Warwick, and Leicester, and comprised several extensive lordships. In the reign of Rufus, he was bow-bearer to the king; and being knighted by King Henry I., had the manor of Egmanton, with divers parks in the forest of Shirwood, of that monarch's gift; which lordship he transferred however, to his particular friend, Robert Davil. But when King Henry had further experience with his valor and military skill, he augmented his royal bounty, and conferred upon him the vavassories of Camville and Wyvile; which gracious marks of favor so attached Albini to the interests of the his sovereign, that he espoused with the most devoted zeal the cause of Henry, against his brother, Robert Curthose, and took a conspicuous part in the battle of Tenercheby in 1106, he there slew the horse of Curthose, and brought the prince himself to the king; for which eminent service the king granted him the English lands of Robert de Stuteville, Baron of Frontebeof, which Frontebeof had fortified in behalf of Curthose. He married after 1107 (1) Maud Aquila, daughter of Richard de Aquila, 2nd baron of Aquila, by permission of Pope Paschall; her husband, Robert de Mowbray, Earl of Northumberland, before-mentioned, being then alive, and in prison for rebellion against King William Rufus; from this lady he was, however, divorced, on account of consanguity, and by her had no issue. Adam of Bremen records that the daughter of King Knud married 'imperator filio suo'. Her parentage is given by Orderic Vitalis, who also refers to her marriage. Wipo names 'Chnutonis regis Anglorum filiam, nomine Chunehildem' as wife of 'Heinricus rex, filius imperatoris' when recording their marriage in 1036. The Annalista Saxo records that the wife of King Heinrich III was 'filiam Cnud regis Danorum', specifying that the marriage was arranged by Unwan Archbishop of Bremen, although this seems unlikely as Archbishop Unwan died in 1029. Herimannus names 'Chunihildem, Cnutonis Danorum et Anglorum regis filiam' when recording her marriage to 'Heinricus rex, filius imperatoris' in 1036. She adopted the name Kunigund on her marriage. The Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines records that 'uxor imperatoris Henrici Gunhildis imperatrix de Anglia' was accused of adultery, that she was defended in trial by combat, but that after her champion's victory she disdained the success and became a nun. William of Malmesbury also recounts that she was accused of adultery and retired to a convent. She died during her husband's expedition to Italy, the death of 'regina Conihild' being recorded in the Annalista Saxo 'XV Kal Aug'. m (Nijmegen [29] Jun 1036) as his first wife, Heinrich III King of Germany, Duke of Bavaria, son of Emperor Konrad II & his wife Gisela of Swabia (Ostrebeck 28 Oct 1017-Burg Bodfeld im Harz 5 Oct 1056, bur Speyer Cathedral). He was crowned Emperor at Rome 25 Dec 1046."

"A Brief History of Vinalhaven," (centennial committee 1889), pg. 50 mentions a John Newbury moving to the North Island in 1768. He was originally from Massachusetts, fought in the War for Independence and was captured and escaped, lived on North Haven until his death at age 95 in 1832, was a farmer, fisherman and boat builder - he MAY be Elizabeth's father or g'father. Also check "The North Island: Early Times to Yesterday," Norwood Beveridge. James B. Vickery, 183 Harlow St. - Apt. 220, Bangor, ME 04401, stated 6 Oct 1994 "John Newbury was not a native of Newbury, Mass. ...I have used the vital records of Newbury - there is not a Newbury listed in birth, marriages or death. There are not accurate dates for his birth or death. In the Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors he is listed as an inhabitant of Marshfield, Mass.; however, I could not locate him in the place in the published vital records. ...The records show he was born about 1743 and died in 1824 or another says 1832. He is listed in the 1790 census of Vinalhaven and buried in a cemetery in North Haven, Maine." Helen Peterson Conner stated that Elizabeth is (grand-)daughter of Ruth Newberry who came to Brooksville from Vinalhaven and was the first midwife in Penboscot.
