This identification of Roger's wife is supported by Hal Bradley, "A Royal Descent for John Stratton" (Boston: NEHGR, Vol. 100 [April 1006], p. 105): "Henry II, King of England . . . had an illegitimate son by his mistress Ida de Toeni, later wife of Roger le Bigod, Earl of Norfolk." Bradley then gives (pp. 106ff.) a descent from this son, William I Longespée.
