Republican and Herald (Pottsville, PA), 28 June 1958, p. 7: Funeral services will be held Monday for Daniel Geist, 68, Pitman, well-known retired teacher, who died at the wheel of his car near Klingerstown. He was a school teacher for 47 years in the Pitman-Klingerstown area until retiring a year ago. A lifelong Pitman resident, he was a son of the late Rudolph and Alice (Fetterman) Geist. He was a member and trustee of St. Paul's E. C. Church, a Sunday School teacher, a member of Woodmen of the World and Klingerstown Fire Company. Surviving are his widow, nee Mayme Haas; five daughters, a son, 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
