After graduating he worked for one year with the State Highway Commission of Massachusetts. Following that he went to work in the Engineering Dept. of the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad. That was the beginning of a distinguished career. By the year 1940 he was appointed Chief Engineer of the railroad. This was followed by promotions to General Manager (1953), Executive Vice President (1965), President (1962), and finally chairman of the Board (1971). He retired in 1971. He moved to Houlton in 1931 when he first went to work for the railroad. He moved to Bangor in 1952."
[45474] "Altoona Tribune [Altoona, PA], 2 June 1921," p. 4: "At her home, 817 South Second street, Amanda Levina, widow of C. C Klose, died at 11:30 Wednesday noon of asthma and heart trouble, from which she had been a sufferer for some time, although her serious illness was short. Mr. Klose died quite suddenly on May 15, 1920, little over a year ago. Mrs. Klose was born Nov. 17, 1841, in Ohio. She and her husband came to Bellwood a number of years ago and she acquired a large circle of friends who knew and loved her. A faithful member of the Presbyterian church, she was an earnest Christian. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. David Wilson, of Shelby, North Carolina, and several grandchildren, one of whom, Mrs. Clair Boyles, has made her home with her grandmother."

[29829] AKA Ludwig II der Jüngere. http://history.wikia.com/wiki/Louis_II,_Count_Palatine_of_Zweibrücken reports: "He became involved in the Reformation as it emerged and was influenced by Johannes Bader. At the Imperial Diet of Worms in 1521 he encountered Martin Luther. In 1523 he appointed Johann Schwebel the high chaplain of Zweibrücken. He failed in his attempts against the Abbeys of Hornbach and Wörschweiler. In 1529 he made possible the Swiss Marburg Colloquy by enabling German protestant theologians the ability to bypass the territories of the Archbishopric of Mainz and the Bishoprics of Speyer and Worms."
