King's Knight, King's Carver, Master of the King's horses, Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight, Justice of South Wales, Lord Treasurer of England, Constable of Rhuddlan and Gloucester Castles. 2nd son and eventual heir of Sir William Beauchamp and Katherine Usflete, grandson of Sir John de Beauchamp and Joan de Cherleton, Sir Gerald Usflete and Eleanor Legard. Heir to his older brother, Sir William. Husband of Margaret Ferrers, daughter of Sir Edmund Ferrers and Ellen de la Roche. they were married before 1434 and had two sons; Sir Richard and Thomas. In 1438 Sir John became the guardian of his cousin, Henry Beauchamp, the Earl of Warwick's extensive lands, and served as trustee for his mother-in-law's estates, for his brother-in-law, William Ferrers and for Isabel the Countess of Warwick. In 1444 he acquired an interest in the manor of Alcester from Thomas Botreaux, and created Lord Beauchamp of Powick in 1447. Sir John and Margaret were both buried at The Dominican Friars of Worcester."

"The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth Maine], 25 January 2018": "Ellsworth - Esther L. Closson passed peacefully on to glory on Jan. 16, 2018, surrounded by family at a Bangor hospital following a brief illness. Esther was born on Sept. 22, 1929, in Bar Harbor to Lyman and Phyllis (Brenton) Linscott, the fourth of six children. Esther attended Ellsworth schools, graduating with the Class of 1948. In EstherÂ’s yearbook, the quote by her picture stated, 'Esther, a housewife's sure to be'cause Luray has waited patiently,' and she married Luray Closson, the love of her life, on Aug. 7, 1949. They spent their lives together on Bayside Road raising their two children and numerous pets. Esther had a heart for animals, most recently dogs, Jingles and Gracie, and loved working in her gardens. She made many quilts over the years for family members, and in the past few years, she spent hours making pot holders for her family and friends. Esther spent many years working as a legal secretary for attorney Shirley Povich, and after his death, his son, Michael Povich, 'inherited' her and hired her in the District AttorneyÂ’s Office, retiring in June 1995. Esther was an active member of United Baptist Church in Ellsworth, and a supporter of Baptist Youth Camp in Charlotte. Esther was predeceased by her husband, Luray, and her siblings, Beverly, Dick, Dot, Patricia and Leslie. She is survived by her daughter, Victoria; son and daughter-in-law, David and Dawn; a grandson who lived with Ray and Esther many years, Christopher, and his wife, Nena; granddaughters Sara Farnsworth, and her husband, Wayne; Michelle Begin, and her husband, Stephen; LaRae Iverson, and her husband, Dean. She is also survived by her nine great-grandchildren Chance and Logan; Hannah and Nathan; Joseph, Joshua, and Molly; Robin and Brielle; sister-in-law, Evelyn Linscott; a special brother-in-law and dearest friend, Ed Dewitt, and many nieces and nephews, and friends, some that she considered family"

Mary was the daug. of John Hodges and Mary Miller and was born in Charlestown RI, abt. 1628. Robert died Jan. 13, 1688 in Newport, Mary died in Little Compton, RI.
