Eckberg, 83, died at the Perry Memorial Hospital, Sunday at 1:45 p.m. Ida M. Eckberg was born Oct. 31, 1882, in Skivarp, Skona (note: Skane), Sweden. She was educated in Sweden and came to the United States in 1903 and settled in Greenview, Ill. She was married to Olaf Eckberg in 1905 in Greenview. They farmed in Bureau Township, retiring in 1943. She attended the Wesleyan Church in Wyanet and was a member of the World War II Mothers. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alma Bodelson, Princeton, Mrs. Ann Richmond, Wyanet; nine sons, Arthur, Edmund, Lawrence, Harold, all of Walnut; Orville, San Antonio, Texas; Lee Roy, Lester and Kenneth, all of Wyanet, and Everett of Princeton.; 32 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at the Stutley Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Rev. Vernon Swanson and Rev. Franklin Graber will officiate. Interment will be in Elmlawn Cemetery, Princeton."

She was born January 7, 1961, in Bar Harbor, daughter of Walter W. (Bud) and Ann (Bunker) Sargent. Sueann grew up in Bar Harbor and graduated in the class of 1979 from MDI High School. Following graduation, she worked on and near MDI for local businesses in the hospitality industry and as a highly skilled seamstress. Talented in many mediums, Sueann loved to paint, craft jewelry, knit and sew. She could do it all and friends and family who have received handmade gifts from her over the years consider them treasures. Animals of all kinds were a passion and source of joy for Sueann. She would often borrow her brother William's dog, Ivy, for rides to the local bank for a biscuit and was always available to 'pet sit' when needed. She had many very special kitties in her life as well over the years, whether her own or that of her family and friends. She doted on them all. She enjoyed working on and keeping Sargent family genealogy records, history and pictures. Sueann is survived by her partner, Gary Kane of Trenton; her brother, Glen Sargent and wife, Mary, of Lincolnville; her brother ,William Sargent and wife, Susan, of Trenton; her aunt, Susan Newman of Southwest Harbor; her uncle, Raymond Bunker Jr. and wife, Ellen, of Whitehall, Montana; nieces, Elizabeth, Emily, Colleen and Natalie; numerous cousins; and many friends that will all miss her."
