[1535] Stephen, Count of Blois and Chartres, "had acquired European notoriety by running away from Antioch during the First Crusade." {-"The Plantagenet Chronicles," ed. by Elizabeth Hallam (N.Y.: Weidenfeld & Nicolson, 1986, p.69).} He was Count, 1089-1102; he died a Saracen prisoner during the Crusade. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~lawrpaul (not verified) states that Stephen is son of Theobald III's 1st wife, NOT Alix (Alice)\(see notes for Alix). [42624] Orrin's obituary: "Orrin W. Hepler, 90, of Victory Church Road, Franklin, died at 7:44 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born July 28, 1921, in Strobleton, and was a son of the late Orrie and Carrie Confer Hepler. Orrin was raised on a farm in Strobleton, near Fryburg. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. Orrin retired from Quaker State after working there for 30 years. He also had his own oil leases and was a hard worker all his life. Orrin enjoyed traveling, flipping quarters, spending time with his friends and family and being outdoors watching the wildlife. Always making everyone feel welcome, he touched the hearts of all who had known him. He was a kind-hearted, jovial man who valued friendship and family. Orrin had two children, Orren Hepler and the late Julia (Juke) Hepler Strain and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clinton Hepler and Jack Hepler; and five sisters, Twila Hoffman, Beulah Kightlinger, Ruth Chase and the late Alberta Reagle and Viola Russell."
