He was the husband of the late Anna (Sackalusky) Watson, who died in 2011. Born in Port Carbon, he was a son of the late David and Mae Connelly Watson. He was an Army veteran of World War II; and was employed by ALCOA and Cressona Aluminum until retiring. He was a member of St. Matthew Church, Minersville. Survivors: Janice Warischalk and her husband, Michael, Titusville, FL, William J. Watson and his wife, Barbara, Whitehall, and David M. Watson and his wife, Ellen, Millersville; 12 grandchildren, including Joanna McKnight, Colleen and William Watson, Michael, Andrew and Jessica Watson; nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Deborah Dutcavich and Karen Dronick; a granddaughter, Melissa Watson Bugbee."
