(Lundgren) Wharton, 77, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital. Dorothy passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Born Aug. 17, 1929, in Minneapolis, Minn., she was the daughter of Fritz and Florence (Longley) Lundgren. Dorothy was a past 25 year employee of Mansfield General Hospital. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family, going to garage sales, and rooting for her native Minnesota teams. She was a religious, caring, and loving person, who will be greatly missed. She taught her children well and that love is the bond that holds families together. Dorothy was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Lester Tucker, and Debra and Thomas Cowell, all of Mansfield; three sons and daughters-in-law, David, Gary and Pam, and Mark and Diane Wharton, all of Mansfield; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Leo Berger; numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry on Oct. 30, 2005; and one son, Richard. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2006, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park."
