She was born in Monroe Feb. 16, 1910, the daughter of Eugene and Bertha (Fisher) Hathaway. She was a member of the Sandy Point Congregational Church, the Ladies Aid Society, Knyvetta Rebekah lodge, She was post mistress of Sandy Point for 17 years and she was a member of the National Postmasters Association. She and her husband operated the H. K. Perkins Grocery Store, Sandy Point, for 42 years. She is survived by her husband, Harold K. of Sandy Point; three sons, Roger of Winterport, Peter of Sandy Point, Stephen of Battle Creek, Mich.; a daughter, Ann Marie Avery of Battle Creek, Mich.; a brother, Henry Hathaway of Fitzburg, Mass.; two sisters, Hildred Holmsted of Orrington, Geneva Ronco of Winterport; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews."
