Betty was born Aug. 30, 1916, in Caribou, daughter of Simon and Grace (Little) Anderson. Betty was an Avon lady for 42 years, was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God, East Millinocket, a Girl Scout leader and a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed knitting, rug hooking, being a caretaker for three people and Breast Cancer Walk/Run participant for many years. She was a breast cancer survivor. She said, 'I've done it all, had a full life.' Betty is survived by her children, Donald E. Tibbitts Jr. and wife, Jeannie, David W. Tibbitts and wife, Sandra, Nancy Goodell, and Susan Wilson; 11 grandchildren, Kevin, Todd, Lori, Becky, Lonnie, Raquel, Wade, Aaron, Toni, Terry and Missy; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Elbridge Anderson and Merrill Anderson and wife, Delilah; sister, Zelda Wilcox and husband, George; and special cat, Ty. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald E. Tibbitts Sr.; brothers, Earl, Ernest, George, Isaiah, Gilbert and Chester; and sisters, Lavercie Gamblin, Gertrude York, Lulu Dyer, Marita Sullivan and Ethel Nutting."
