Born on March 26, 1922, in Lurgan Towhship, Franklin County, he was a son of the late John K. and Elizabeth E. Wyrick Alleman. He was retired from Shippensburg University, where he worked in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Prince Street United Brethren Church in Shippensburg. He is survived by his wife, Mildred C. Brantner Alleman; a daughter, Carol M.(Mrs. Wayne) Forrester, Chambersburg; three sons, Richard D.(husband of Patricia) Alleman and Galen M.(husband of Denise) Alleman, both of Newburg, and Randall E. (husband of Beth) Alleman, Shippensburg; three sisters, Dorothy Whisler, Shippensburg, and Sara Kipe and Esther Crider Pisle, both of Chambersburg; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and seven brothers."

Miller, Newport; four grandchildren, and nine greatgrandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home on Walnut Street, Newport, with Rev. Larry Hummer, her pastor, officiating. Scott (Gail) Hunter of Gilroy, CA, Victor (Dawn) Hunter of Santa Clara, CA, and Deborah (Paul) Lillak, Tracy, CA; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Raymond 'Bill' Helbert of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl R. Reiter in August 2000, two brothers and two sisters. Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Tuesday September 21, 2004 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Dodds officiating.
