Marian was born in backwoods Maine in the same room as her mother and grandmother. She began dating Forrest Myers when he asked her to accompany him on a trip to Cleveland for library resarch. Their honeymoon was a fishing trip in Ontario, Canada.
Marian graduated BA from The University of Akron (Ohio) and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority there. She was an active Christian Scientist, and an avid student and reader. She was the first May Queen at Central High School, Akron, and was considered a very beautiful woman throughout her life. She loved music, taught piano and supported musical programs (such as the Tuesday Musical Club) in the Akron area. Her death resulted from an automobile crash. She was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants (National 16262, Ohio 746). Her marriage record names her parents.
"The Akron Beacon Journal, 15 August 1930", p. 6: "Of particular local interest is the announcement made by Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Conner, 1475 Hillside ter., of the marriage of their daughter, Marian, to Forrest D. Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Myers, 634 E. Buchtel av. The ceremony was read at high noon Friday at Trinity Lutheran church, Dr. E. W. Simon officiating in the presence of the immediate families. A breakfast for the group followed at the home of the bride, after which the couple left for an extended motor-trip to Canada. They will be at home after Oct. 1 at 504 Moreley av. Mr. and Mrs. Myers are both graduates of Akron university, the former being a member of Omicron Delta Kappa honorary fraternity. He also belongs to the Akron Real Estate board and is a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner. He is associated with his father in real estate business. Mrs. Myers is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and is an accomplished pianist. She belongs to the Tuesday Musical and Chaminade clubs."
