He is buried next to his parents at Keiser's cemetery in Verdilla, Snyder county, PA, with an erroneous birthdate on the stone, stating his birth date as 1781! The correct date is 1817. The company in which he served is carved on the headstone. Miltary records note that he was 5 feet 7 inches with brown hair and blue eyes. His wife Catherine is buried several rows from him."
