(USA) by the General Court of the colony, which ordered that "a convenient quantity of land be set out within the bounds of Newbury for the keeping of cattle that came over in the Dutch ships this, and to belong to the owners of the said cattle." This estate was subsequently passed to his son Jeremiah. Richard died in 1679. Married Mary Fowle of Tawton Barne at Broughton on 22 July 1623. He also married Mrs Francis Burr. Richard was ancestor of most of the Dummers of America.
His son John succeeded to his father's estate at Swaythling where he lived until his death. John held lands and leases in Swaythling, Poliats in South Stoneham and Bauden's Land in Allington, South Stoneham. John made bequests to the poor in South and North Stoneham.
