She was born in Ashland County on June 6, 1928, the daughter of Charles Melvin and Laura May Roseborough Helbert. She had been employed at Myers Services, Inc. for a number of years. Miss Helbert was a member of the Synagogue Church of God. She was also a member of the Missionary Society and Ladies Bible Class of the church. Surviving are a sister, Naomi M. Reiter, and a brother, Raymond W. Helbert, both of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by sisters, Pauline and Blanch Helbert and Mary C. Barr, and brothers, Harold and Charles Helbert."
