Frank was born on Nov. 5, 1929, in Bar Harbor, the son of Irving Gray and Bertha Mae (Connors) Gray. After graduating from Bar Harbor High School, he married Evelyn (Kelley). They had two sons, Frank Jr. and Alden. Shortly after marrying Evelyn, Frank was drafted into the U.S. Army, serving his country in Korea. Upon his return home, Frank worked for Webber Construction as a mason then John Goodwin Sr., traveling throughout Maine and New England building foundations, walls and stone ovens, with many still standing. He served the Town of Tremont for many years in many roles including the Town Moderator. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 69 in Southwest Harbor. Frank attended college later in life, and became a minister, his first calling, and was a member of the St. Thomas Anglican Church in Ellsworth. Frank was a devoted father to both his family and his church. He loved to share stories of his pets and gardens his family shared in Tremont. Frank married his surviving wife, Ada Hatch, in 2015. They spent eight years together supporting each other - what one couldn't do, the other could. He is also survived by his son Frank, daughter-in-law Margaret Gray (Alden), grandchildren Amber Gray, Hillary Gray and Keagan Gray (Lee), great-grandchildren Aurora, Sebastian, Trevor, Cooper, Keiyara, Stone, and William. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, first wife Evelyn and son Alden."

Thomaston, ME with her second husband, Henry Richard Carey (also a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, and a retired educator). "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 16 July 2024: "Newburgh - Lucy Ann Haynes Carey, 89, of Thomaston, passed away July 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Lucy was born August 25, 1934, the daughter of Jasper and Elizabeth (McKillop) Haynes. Lucy grew up at Buckhorn Camps on Middle Jo Mary Lake. She went to school in Millinocket, and graduated from Stearns High School in the class of 1953. She went on to earn a BS in education from the Farmington State Teachers College in 1957, teaching in Carthage after graduating. Afterwards she traveled the world raising her family and teaching for the Department of Defense Education Activity Schools in Germany, Japan and Korea as well as teaching GED to Marines in Okinawa, Japan. Lucy retired in 1994 and returned to Maine, with her beloved husband, Henry Carey, where they spent their time between Thomaston, and her much loved camp on Lower Wilson Pond in Greenville. Lucy was a member of the Thomaston Federated Church where she sang in the choir. She loved the outdoors, the Greenville Garden Club, The Friends of Wilson Pond, meeting people and volunteering wherever she could help. Lucy is survived by children, Bruce Wiles (Lynn Merry), Scott Wiles (Mary Ann), Alison Hamlin (Thomas), Sandra Thompson (Daniel), Michael Carey (Katherine), Patti Carey (Peg Gandy), Terry Hunt, and Stacy Burch; brother, Jasper Haynes; stepsister, Mary Holmes; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Henry Carey; sister, Betsynell Esancy; and stepson, Jeffrey Carey."

[41879] "The Selinsgrove Times-Tribune [Selinsgrove, PA], 23 October 1958," p. 5: "Irvin Stanley Snyder, 54, of South Third Street, died Thursday at his home. In ailing health for the past five years, he had been bedfast for the past year. Born June 12, 1904, in Klingerstown, he was the son of Amos and Lydia Rebuck Snyder. He attended the Klingerstown public schools, and was married to Dollie Kinney March 25, 1924, in Hagerstown, Maryland. Employed as a fireman and engineer at the Selinsgrove State School for 14 years, he also worked at Allenwood, with the Hamp Brothers Construction Company, Camp Hill; and his last employment was with Central Builders Supply Company. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove. He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Hess, of Sunbury; Miss Anna Snyder, of Selinsgrove; and Mrs. Paul Dorman, of Rochester, New York; a son, Irvin Snyder, of Sunbury; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Snyder, of Freeburg; Lewis Snyder, of State College; and Robert Snyder, of Hummel's Wharf; and a sister, Mrs. Mable Fagley, of Sunbury."
