[57995] "The Bangor Daily News {Bangor, Maine]," 20 April 2011: "Jonesport - Eula Kathleen (Beal) Fish, 85, died April 16, 2011, at Sunrise Care Facility, Jonesport, after a short illness. She was born Dec. 14, 1925, in Jonesport, to Harold Freeman Beal and Phyllis Marie (Worcester) Beal. Eula was a former Jonesport town treasurer, a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and a founding member of the Tuesday Night Club, which met weekly for more than 50 years. She graduated from Jonesport High School in 1943, married her handsome sailor man, Harry Sawyer Fish, July 29, 1943, and went to work in an office and ammunitions factory in Boston. When Harry was discharged from the Coast Guard in 1944, they returned to Jonesport to raise a family, which at one time included her great-niece, Tiffany Beal Levasseur. Eula assisted in her husband's tax and accounting business, managed the town of Jonesport's finances for many years, and delighted her family as an exceptional pastry cook, a skill learned from her mother. In the early 1980s she, Harry and their son, Harry Jr., rebuilt a Newfoundland net boat into a staysail schooner. Eula and Harry sailed the Eula K. Fish from Maine to the Bahamas in 1984 and made many cruising friends during the eight years they lived aboard. In 1992 they returned year-round to Jonesport to spend more time with their grandchildren. Eula was predeceased by her husband, Harry, who died in September 2002. She is survived by her brother, Harold F. 'Buzz' Beal Jr. and wife, Helen; her son, Harry S. Fish Jr. and wife, Sherry; her daughter, Laura L. Fish Herzog and husband, Rick; and two beloved grandchildren, Aaron T. Fish Herzog and Inge Kathleen Herzog, all of Jonesport. She also leaves two special cousins, Rosalie Palmer Carver and Lucille Palmer Woodward; as well as many other friends and relatives.
[34472] This line is from the unverified Bigler Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2013 which states John m. (2) in 1882 Mary Elizabeth Arnholt and that John is son of John M. Darr (1825-1899) and Margareta B. Strang (or Sreng)(1820-1896). Ancestry.com offers: "Darr Name Meaning - English: perhaps a variant of Dear. German (Därr): from a short form of a Germanic personal name, perhaps related to Old High German dart spear. Variant spelling of German Dorr."

She was born in Brooklin on Aug. 19, 1928, the daughter of the late Pearl Rufus and Lillian B. (Grindle) Tainter. She graduated from Brooklin High School in 1946, where she excelled on the girls basketball team and played trombone for the high school band. Priscilla was predeceased by her first husband, James N. Curtis, brother, Arthur Tainter Sr., and daughter, Barbara Ann Allen. She is survived by her five children, Mary Jane Mann and husband, Ethan, of Broomfield, Colo., Martin Allen and partner Gina Sensontic of Penobscot, Kermit Allen Jr. and wife, Darlene, Jeffrey Allen and wife, Tina, all of Blue Hill, Annie Allen and partner Michelle Duprey of Holden, 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her partner of 49 years, Edwin K. Pert. Throughout their relationship he was the most loving, caring attentive companion, especially as of late, staying by her side providing exceptional care and comfort. For many summers Priscilla worked as the hostess of Eatons Lobster Pool and later tended the families Blueberry Patch gift shop. She was personable, friendly and genuinely enjoyed working with the public. She had a smile that would light up a room and a terrific sense of humor. She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends at gatherings and parties. She is fondly remembered for baking her delicious pies, cookies and especially Allens blueberry cake. She was very generous and thoughtful, never missing an opportunity to send a card or acknowledge family birthdays or holidays. She also enjoyed sunny days, the beach, boating, seafood, day trips and joyrides to favorite restaurants."
