[25197] The unverified posting in OneWorldTree on Ancestry.com states that Christian is son of Hans Blickensderfer (b. 1690 in Zug, Switzerland, d. 1738 in Kohlhof, Germany) and Katharina _____. Find A Grave memorial 44858346 offers: "Christian was born of Mennonite parentage at the Kohlhof, in the Palatinate. Married January 7, 1748 to Catharine Shurger, the daughter of a Mennonite preacher, at Eisenbach, Zweibruecken. Christian came with his wife and two children to America in 1753. Lived in Philadelphia for 1 1/2 years. He and his family lived in the Moravian village of Lititz, Pennsylvania. Christian was a teamster who in 1761 built a large brick building that housed the first business establishment in Lititz, and contained living quarters for the family upstairs. That building, now known as the Rauch house after a baker who owned it in the 1800s, still stands at 69 Main Street in downtown Lititz, though its roofline has been altered drastically from its original shape. Of his nine children (7 sons and 2 daughters) only 2 sons and one daughter survived him, namely: Christian, 1753, Matthew, 1764, and Catharine, 1761, who married Matthias Muecke. His second wife, married in 1779, was the widow Barbara Mueller (maiden: Leithold)."
