He was born April 28, 1893 at Brooksville, the son of John Edward and Lucy Adell (Howard) Gray. He was a retired sea captain. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Berniece B. Gray of North Sedgwick; two daughters, Miss Madeline Gray of North Sedgwick and Mrs. Everetta Garrity of Bangor; a step-daughter, Mrs. Viola Stephens of Bangor; three sons, Daniel of Warren, Chester Jr. of Bangor and Thurley of Sedgwick; a sister, Mrs. Rose Callberg of Penobscot; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins."
[58793] Linda's obituary: "Danforth/Molunkus/Bangor - Linda Caroline Kinney, age 76, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024 of natural causes surrounded by her loving family. Linda was known for her kindness, generosity, witty sense of humor, joy of life, and love of family. Linda was born on August 10, 1948 to Daisy (Gilman-Lee) Deering and Everett Lee Sr. and spending most of her childhood years in Danforth ME. She attended Dirigo Girls State in 1965 and was proud to hold the esteemed title of Valedictorian of East Grand High School Class of 1966. After graduation, she followed her high school sweetheart, Alan, to Fort Hood Texas. They wed on September 17, 1966 before Alan left to serve his country in Vietnam. Linda and Alan later settled in Molunkus Township, ME where they built a home and raised their children Heather and Heath. Throughout their 45-year marriage they filled their house with laughter, family, and love for pets. Linda was meticulous at identifying the many feathered friends who visited her bird feeders. She even showered her grand-dogs & grand-cats with love, treats, and toys. Most of all, Linda lived for her children and grandchildren, never failing to make everyone feel her endless and unconditional love. Lindas easy going and bubbly personality made her a magnet for attracting new friends and cultivating a variety of hobbies. On summer nights, Linda could be found at a warm campfire eating marshmallows and sharing stories with her beloved friends at Greenland Cove. She loved preserving photo memories with her cherished friends known as the 'Paper Dolls'. Linda also filled her time doing crossword puzzles, knitting, reading novels, playing board games, sewing, and watching movies. Her sense of adventure took Linda and her family to several countries and many US cities. Linda was committed to helping family and community. She volunteered for the A.A.R.P as a tax return preparer and team leader for over 30 years. Her friendly, conversational nature also helped her in her role as an enumerator for the U.S. Census Bureau. Linda was predeceased by her husband Alan; her mother Daisy; her father Everett ; in-laws Cindy Lee, Emery Dwyer, Dean Kinney, Ivan Kinney; and special nephews Scott Gray and Shane Dwyer. She will be greatly missed by her surviving daughter Heather Dawn Kinney; son Heath Alan (Christine Dubois) Kinney; grandchildren Jessyca Lyn Matthews; Sawyer J. Kinney and Hayley May Kinney; and by her siblings Everett Lee, Jr. and Barbara Gray."

Mrs. Tamm was a member of the faculty at Blue Mountain Jointure School in Cressona. She previously taught commercial subjects in the Shenandoah School District. She was a member of the Annunciation BVM Church. Surviving are two sons, Michael and Peter; two sisters and a brother; Mary, wife of Dr. John Brennan, Philadelphia: Mrs. Agnes Levans, Shenandoah, and Albin Meluskey, Philadelphia."

A solemn Mass of Requiem was celebrated in the Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah, at 9 o'clock. Celebrant of the Mass was Rev. Joseph Gilooley, pastor of the Church of Epiphany of Philadelphia; Rev. William Shields of the Annunciation parish was deacon; Rev. Andre Meluskey of St. Edward's Church, Shamokin, was sub-deacon. Present in the sanctuary were bishop Bernard Patrick Wall, Bishop of Brentwood, England; His Eminence the Most Rev. Msgr. Francis Brennan, D.D.J.U.D., Dean of the Sacred Rota, Rome, Italy; Msgr. Cornelius V. O'Brien, pastor of the Annunciation parish, Shenandoah. The blessing in church following the Mass was conducted by Father Gilooley, assisted by Father Shields and Father Meluskey. The three priests also officiated at the committal services. Present in the church during the Mass were the children of the fifth and sixth grades of the Annunciation BVM School, as well as nuns of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Order who comprise the teaching staff at the local school. Rosary recitation was conducted by Father Shields last evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers were John and Jerry Levans, Thomas Cantlin, Albert Matunis, Mayor of Shenandoah, Bernard O'Neil, Walter Weston, Robert Thomas, and John Brennan."
