Viola is survived by her children, Roger Sargent and his wife, Jeannine, Edward Sargent and his wife, Rosemary, Lillian Sargent Katsiaficas and her husband, Charles, and Ellen Sargent Kroot and her husband, John; and a son-in-law, Carl Magoon; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grand-children, five great-great grand-children, several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond F. Sargent; her daughter, Rachel Sargent Magoon; a grandson, Jeffrey Magoon.

He was 75 years old and a native of Rothsville. He was engaged in the mercantile business at Akron and Millway for many years. He disposed of his Millway business over thirty years and for twenty-five years he was employed as a salesman in Ephrata stores. Five years ago he retired on account of ill health. He was a member of Cocalico lodge, No. 400, Knights of Pythias. His surviving children are: D. F. and Horace Roth, Shelly, Ohio; Calvin M., Chicago; Mrs. Lillie Bushong, city; Mrs. Clayton B. Burkholder, Salina, Kansas; Miss Anna, at home. His funeral will take place this afternoon, with services in the Lutheran church."
