Mowen (1862 - 1863), George H. Mowen (1863 - 1932); David F. Mowen (1873 - 1873). "Valley Spirit [Chambersburg, Pennsylvania], 23 August 1905," p. 5: "Daniel Mowen, a carpenter, who resided about three and one-half miles west of Cearfoss, along the Welsh Bun road, dropped dead in the yard of his residence on Saturday morning. Death was due to heart failure. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Mattie Greenwalt, Middleburg; Joseph Mowen and Daniel Mowen, both of Waynesboro. Funeral Monday morning, leaving the house at 9 o'clock. Services in the German Baptist church at Broadfording. Interment in the graveyard adjoining the church."
