Grindal, 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died Friday, September 22, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire after a brief illness. He was born December 27, 1945, in Millinocket to George and Pauline (Bartlett) Grindal. James grew up in Millinocket and was a graduate of Stearns High School, class of 1966. At a young age he started working in retail which he loved. He spent many years at McLean's and Lounsbury's. James spent time as a volunteer fire fighter and reserve police officer for the town of East Millinocket. He was proud of the fact that he was still employed in retail, most recently at Hannaford, where he enjoyed his customers, especially the young kids. James was married to the love of his life and soul mate, Patricia (King) Grindal for 56 years. Together they had two children, Laurice Murphy and her husband, Dennis, and James Grindal and his wife, Rachel; three grandchildren, Danica Grindal, Connor Grindal, and Isabella Grindal; three great-grandchildren, Christian Wyman, Bentley Grindal, and Myla Grindal; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by a brother, Harry Grindal."

'Hank' Hollenbaugh, 87, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, in Heritage Care Center. Born August 20, 1915, in Shelby to Burr and Effie Sipes Hollenbaugh, he had been a lifelong Shelby resident. A 1934 graduate of Shelby High School, he was employed as an electric weld machine operator with Copperweld for 43 years, retiring in 1975. Mr. Hollenbaugh was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 763 where he was past worthy president and was a former member of Shelby Owl's Club, Shelby Country Club and St Mark's Episcopal Church. A little league baseball umpire for many years, he enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing on his favorite lake in Michigan, and gardening. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, H. Ritchey and Becki Hollenbaugh of Dublin; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Charles Kelly of Norwalk; four grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Ritchey Hollenbaugh in 1979; one brother, Irven 'Beez' Hollenbaugh; and three sisters, Betty Hollenbaugh, Mary Jane Blatter and Martha Coler. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday from Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. The Reverend David S. Sipes will officiate with interment in Oakland Cemetery."

She was born July 4, 1941, in Houlton, the daughter of Alston and Gertrude (McLaughlin) Morrison and the widow of Sonny Cameron. Judy graduated from Island Falls High School and attended Eastern Maine General Hospital Nursing Program. She worked as 'field boss' on her father's potato farm in Dyer Brook in her younger years then for Southern Aroostook Community School as a bus driver for 39 years as well as part of the school lunch program for many years. Judy and her sister, Charlotte, operated a flea market in Dyer Brook every summer weekend for 11 years. She was active in towns business through budget and town meetings She loved to garden, fish, quilt, was an avid card and game player but her favorite past time was reading a good book. Judy had a great love for all animals, being a regular contributor to the Houlton Humane Society. She is survived by her children, Chip and Jeanne Cameron, Michael and Diane Cameron, all of Merrill, Wayne and Colleen Cameron of Otis, Terri Cameron of Biddeford; grandchildren, Caleb Cameron, Crystal Cameron and Michael Casey; great-grandchildren, William Cummings, Dylan Casey and Briana Casey; sisters, Betty McGraw and Charlotte Durr; brother, Melvin and Karen Morrison; uncle Vern McLaughlin and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Sonny Cameron and an infant, Baby Cameron."

The inventory of the estate of Josiah Snow of Marshfield, carpenter, was presented by Rebecca Snow his widow 3 Jan 1692/3. the settlement of the estate of Josiah Snow of Marshfield on 3 Nov 1693 mentions that there are eight children, all daughters, and the widow (no names). Op. cit., p. 35 The estate of Rebecca Sawyer was administered on 22 June 1711 by Nathaniel Winslow and Joseph Waterman; she was called their 'mother-in-law.' On 20 June 1711 Gilbert Winslow, Samuel Baker and John Sprague signed receipts to the administrator of their late mother Rebecca Sawyer. On 5 Feb 1711/2 Abia Snow dau. of Josiah Snow of Marshfield chose William Carver of Marshfield as guardian. On 10 May 1712 Nathaniel Winslow and Lydia his wife, Gilbert Winslow and Mercy his wife, Samuel Baker and Sarah his wife, Joseph Waterman and Luseanna his wife, John Sprague and Bethiah his wife and William Carver as guardian of Abiah Snow divided land which formerly belonged to Anthony Snow. Barlow, offers: Josiah Snow, birthdate unknown, died Marshfield, Mass., Aug. 1692, son of Anthony and Abigail (Warren) Snow and grandson of Richard Warren of the Mayflower, married about 1669 Rebecca Barker, birthdate unknown, died Marshfield 28 April 1711, daughter of Robert and Lucy (Williams) Barker of Duxbury. After the death of Josiah Snow she married (2) in Duxbury 23 --- 1694 John Sawyer, whose first wife Mercy Little was a granddaughter of Richard Warren. Eight children of Josiah (or Josias) and Rebecca (Barker) Snow may be found in Marshfield records, but two of them had died before their father; yet the administration on Josiah Snow (Plymouth County Probate, 1:189) says thate he left 'eight children all daughters.' Hence there must be two more girls to be accounted for. When Rebecca Sawyer died, her estate was administered (Plymouth County Probate, 3:64) by Nathaniel Winslow and Joseph Waterman, and she was called their 'mother-in-law.' There are receipts from Gilbert Winslow, who married Mercy Snow, and Samuel Baker (not Barker), who married Sarah Snow. There is also a reecipt from John Sprague of Duxbury, who had a wife Bethiah. Therefore, John Sprague's wife must also have been a daughter of Josiah Snow. The other daughter, probably Abiah Snow, is not important, as she apparently had no children." - from a file in Ancestry.com in 2010.
