[31234] Find A Grave memorial 81806118 offers: "The Indiana Register of July 3, 1867 describes his murder on Monday the 1st. It states that his father-in-law was Nicholas Van Devinder. You can see the story of John's murder via this link, which makes it clear that John's wife was the daughter of Nicholas Van Devinder. usgw archives (Scroll down to 3 July 1867) John was in his parents' household in Gaskill Twp. on the 1840 and 1850 Census. John, his older brother Michael and his younger brother Abraham, all moved to Canoe Twp., Indiana County (7 miles due south) and married there (Michael and Abraham married daughters of John Devers). During the Civil War, John enlisted in the 21st and came home safely. However, a dispute led to his murder on July 1, 1867 as described in the Indiana Register of July 3."

[17546] Charles Trafton was captured by the Abenaquis and taken to Canada in May 1693 at the age of 12. He was baptised at Montreal 12 september 1694 as Charles Louis Marie , and entered the services of his godfather, Count Louis de Buade de Frontenac, governor of Canada. Records of this baptism are said to be on file at Notre Dame church in Montreal. He returned to York at about the time of his fathers death.

[13193] Deborah graduated from Reading Hospital School of Nursing and practiced nursing at Reading Hospital, Baltimore (MD) and Tremont Nursing Center. She founded the first after-care bereavement program in Schuylkill Co. and was a well-known breast-cancer crusader. She received the Sol Lipton Cancer Courage Award from the Schuylkill Unit of the American Cancer Society. Brothers William and David and sisters Janice (Warishalk) and Karen (Dronick) survived her, as did her parents (William Watson and Anna Anna Sackalusky). Her obituary: "December 27, 1995 - The Morning Call: Deborah A. Dutcavich, 41, of 418 W. Coal St., Minersville, died of breast cancer Monday in her home. She was the wife of David A. Dutcavich for 16 years. A registered nurse, she began her career as a medical surgical nurse at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading, working until 1979. She then was a maternity nurse at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital until 1980 when she went to Baltimore County General Hospital, specializing in oncology until 1982. Dutcavich last worked in nursing at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville; Tremont Nursing Center, Schuylkill County, and Intermediate Unit 29, Marlin. Since 1990, she was a bereavement coordinator for the Dutcavich Funeral Home, Minersville. She was a 1975 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of William and Anna (Sackalusky) Watson of Minersville. She started an after-care program, which was the first of its kind in Schuylkill County. She was especially committed to helping children understand death. As recently as May, she was a volunteer for Camp Dragonfly, a weekend camping experience in Halifax, Dauphin County, for children who had lost a close family member. Dutcavich was a certified volunteer for Cansurmount, an American Cancer Society program in which cancer survivors assist cancer patients and their families. In October 1993, she received the Sol Lipton Cancer Courage award from the Schuylkill Unit of the American Cancer Society. She actively shared her experience as a cancer survivor with both individual patients and groups, encouraging them to become more actively involved in personal breast cancer care and research funding efforts. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Minersville, and was active in the Holy Redeemer School, Minersville, where she taught sign language and proctored 'Rainbows,' a support group for school children. She also established a preschool Sunday school program at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Minersville, and taught first-grade CCD. Survivors: Husband and parents; son, Vincent, and a daughter, Christina, both at home; sisters, Janice, wife of Michael Warischalk of Laureldale, Berks County, and Karen, wife of Paul Dronick of Minersville, and brothers, William and David, both of Whitehall Township."
