[15468] "The Eugene Guard [Eugene, Oregon], 24 June 1940," p. 8: "Mrs. Jennie Maltzan of Dexter died Sunday at the Eugene hospital, and was born January 15, 1876, and is survived by her husband, Richard; the following children: Malcolm Maltzan of Dorris, Cal., Mrs. Annette Baugess of Dexter, Mrs. Mari Fraley of Dexter; five grandchildren, the following brothers and sisters: Mary Warden of Northwood, Iowa, Hiram Bliton of Des Moines, Iowa, Emma Kilpatrick of Eugene, Eliza Nelson of Springfield, Ollie Nye of Cuba, Mo., James Bliton of Jasper. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. from the Poole chapel. Rev. Glen L. Vernon officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery."
