She was born Nov. 29, 1905, the daughter of Judson and Mabel (Lufkin) Haskell. Charlotte and her late husband, Arthur C. Barter, were married for 69 years. They owned and operated together the M. D. Joyce Hardware Store. She was a past member of the Eastern Star. Charlotte is survived by a daughter, Donna B. Billings of Deer Isle; three grandchildren, Arthur J. Billings and his wife, Diane, Dana E. Billings and his wife, Bobbi, and Cyndi A. Billings; a special granddaughter, Patsy Murray; four great-grandchildren, Sara, Lori, Blake and Anne; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, John J. Billings; four brothers, Raymond, Arthur, Thomas and James Haskell; four sisters, Georgia Gray, Rose Barbour, Aida Haskell and Marguerite Montenegro. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 1996, at Island Nursing Home, Deer Isle, with Elder Winfield Billings officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Adams Cemetery, Deer Isle."

Hooper, 64, Lubec - On April 17, 2022, at Mass General Hospital, peacefully left his earthly vessel to transition to his heavenly home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on, July 22, 1957, in Lubec, Maine, the son of Colby and Wilma Hooper. In 1979, He married the love of his life, Roberta. In the past 42 years, Doug has created great memories with Bobby. Doug loved to serenade Bobby while playing one of his many instruments and the songs he had written just for her. Doug was well known for his practical jokes, could fill a room with laughter, and no one was a stranger; just a friend he had not met. For over 20 years, Doug served on the security team at the Cutler Navy Base. He had a love of painting. One of his masterpieces was hand delivered to Former President Bush and is displayed at his home here in Maine. You may have had a privilege to hear Doug on his gospel radio station. Most of all, Doug had a love for his Savior. In 2013, he opened the doors to Down East Faith Tabernacle where he had a great compassion for people and a desire to tell people of God's love. Doug will be greatly missed by his wife, Roberta and his faithful companion, Lady Bell; his mother, Wilma; sisters, Elaine and her husband, Willie, and Sue and her husband, David; brother, Byron; nieces and grandnieces; as well as his stepchildren, Joe and his special friend, Annmarie and her husband, Victor, along with three stepgranddaughters. Doug was predeceased by his father, Colby Hooper."

Find A Grave Memorial 158767244 offers: "The son of David & Margaret (Mortz) Sarver, in 1860 he was a laborer and carpenter living with his family in Greenwood Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania. He stood 5' 10" tall and had dark hair and gray eyes. A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in Harrisburg March 14, 1865, mustered into federal service there March 16 as a private with the 103rd Pennsylvania Infantry in the second organization of Co. C, and honorably discharged with his company June 25, 1865. He married Mary Ann Hoffman in 1873 in Liverpool, Perry County, and fathered Rebecca Jane (b. 01/??/74), Alice C. (b. 09/15/72 - married a Lindsay), Rebecca Jane (b. 01/12/74 - married a Roush), Mary Emma (b. 09/18/75 - married a Douty) Christine (b. 07/29/77 - married a Charles), John K.
