She was born Feb. 25, 1919, in Harborside, the daughter of Richard J. and Jessie (Black) Howard. Natalie worked for the postal department for 20 years. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, cooking, knitting and taking care of her family. She is survived by a daughter, Helen Condon of Cape Rosier; son, Donald Condon and his wife, Brenda, of Brooksville; grandson, Jeffrey Condon of Brooksville; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Howard and Ethel Howard Tandy; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Earle, in 2001; son, Richard Earle; daughter, Mary Jane; brothers, Richard Howard Jr. and Robert Howard; and a sister, Helen Kyhkynen." Her parents are Richard J. Howard (1898-1974) & Jessie Black (1902-1973).

[61251] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 18 April 2022: "Sherman, Maine - Helen A. King, 93, wife of the late James 'Leo' King, passed away on April 12, 2022, after a long illness. She was born in Sherman Mills, Maine on July 2, 1928, the daughter of Arrol P. and Annie (Stubbs) Smith. Helen worked alongside her beloved Leo as they built their home in Sherman as well as their camp at Perry Pond in Benedicta. After school let out each spring, the family moved to camp and many happy days were spent swimming, boating, water skiing, card games, just sitting by the campfire talking to each other, friends stopping by and of course, lots of good food. Helen was the one who made it all work. As Mother Teresa quotes 'A Mother is the heart of the home;' this was certainly true for Helen and her family. Helen and Leo also traveled in their retirement years, going to Florida, Ohio, and Tennessee visiting relatives or sightseeing. Helen worked for 26 years at the elementary school in Sherman, first as an aide to the school lunch cook and eventually becoming head cook herself. After retirement she had many former students let her know how much they loved her meals and that many times, it was the main meal they had that day. Helen was a member and past deaconess of Washburn Memorial Church, a member of Eastern Star, and a longtime supporter and volunteer for Sherman Old Home Days as they raised money for the church each year. She always participated in any town bake sale and was well known as one of the best cooks in town! She is survived by her 3 sons, Stanley (Bonnie) of Sherman, Alex (Darla) of Hampden, and Brent (Debbie) of Windham; grandchildren, Joshua, Jake, Jeremy, David, Jason, Lance, Travis, and Courtney; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several other nieces and nephews."
