[42144] Find A Grave Memorial 39874525 offers: "Johannes was born before 1756 and was a native of Montgomery County, Pa. His first wife was Maria Betz (b. 1755), whom he married on March 17, 1772. He married his second wife Bernhardina Pieters in 1775. Berhardina [or Bandina] was the child of Warner Pieters (Peterson) and Catharina van der Sleys who had married on Feb 13,1752. During the Revolutionary War, Johannes served from 1778 to 1783 as a private in Captain Philip Gibb's Company, Daniel Heister's regiment of the Philadelphia County militia. Johannes and Bernhardina came to Perry County from Falckner Swamp Reformed congregation near Gilbertsville and New Hanover, Pa. They migrated from Montgomery County to Donally Mills and later to [the vicinity of] Loysville in Perry County where they engaged in farming. Bernhardina died December 28, 1813 and Johannes died April 29, 1825; both were buried at the Old Town Cemetery in Loysville, PA. All of the six sons and seven daughters of John and Bandena married and raised families."
