She was a past noble grand of Esther Rebekah lodge, and waa a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist. Survivtng are a son, Ceylon R. Archer; one granddaughter, Jeanne M. Archer; and a brother, Ceylon W. Kingsbury, all of Bangor." Clara is daughter of Nathan G. Kingsbury (1844-1915) & Laura L. Thompson (1847-1889).

[9639] Her grave marker reads Aletta Van Ostrand. Find A Grave Memorial 65596136 offers her obituary: "Mrs. Alletta Thumma, 77, widow of Charles L. Thumma, who resided with her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Max, 411 East Republic street, died at 10 p.m. Monday at Methodist hospital where she had been a patient since Saturday. Mrs. Thumma had resided in Peoria four years. Born in Whitefield township, Marshall county, April 16, 1869, she was a daughter of Isaac and Catherine Van Tine Van Ostrand, and married Mr. Thumma Dec. 22, 1892, at Henry. He died Nov. 21, 1942 in Milo township, Bureau county. Surviving are two sons, John H. Thumma of Whitefish, Mont., and Glenn C. Thumma of Bradford; two daughters, Mrs. Max and Ariel M. Thumma, both of Peoria; one brother, A. L. VanOstrand of Henry; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren."
