He married Jane Peasley/Peesley on 10 Dec 1648 in Colonial Mass., she being the daughter of Rev.Joseph Peasley and Mary Johnson. They settled for a time in Havenhill, Essex Co., MA. before moving to Oyster River Plantation (Durham) where he built a garrison house near Davis Creek. He had large tracks of land and held the position of Selectman seven times, Constable, surveyor of land and several other positions. They are parents of eleven children, born in Haverhill or Oyster River."
[32713] Jacob's grave is listed in findagrave.com which reports: "Jacob was a blacksmith and a Minister of the Gospel. His parents were Jacob Faubion and Dinah Rector Faubion. After having lived in Cocke County, Tennessee, his family moved, in the early 1800s, to Clay County, Missouri. He farmed land that he bought there, and was the Pastor of Faubion Chapel, officiating at many of the weddings that took place in that community. His death was said to be as a result of a kick from a "gentle old mare" he was bridling. No stone is found in the family burying ground to commemorate his life and death, but he left an impression on those who knew him and a host of descendants to honor him."
