Gray, 93, died Monday, December 6, 2021, at Courtland Rehab and Living Center in Ellsworth, with her loving granddaughter by her side. She was born October 4, 1928, a daughter of George and Leah (Penney) French. Carol loved to bake and made excellent cookies, she also loved to shop. She collected spoons and for a time sold Avon. She is survived by one daughter, Sherry Gray; one son, Frederick Littlefield and his wife, Lucy; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four siblings, Linda Leach and husband, George, Gayle Picard and husband, Roger, Ricky French and wife, Sandi, and Brenda Lymburner; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Carol was predeceased by her husband, Alvertie E. Gray Jr.; two children, Glendon Littlefield and Penney Littlefield; one grandson: Richard Littlefield, as well as four brothers and four sisters."
