[44820] Nathan's obituary: "Nathan L. Tagmeyer, 90, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he worked as a Artist in the Promotion Department at Fort Wayne Newspapers for 24 years, retiring in 1984. He was a twice wounded WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of 80th Division Veterans Association, the Indiana Canal Society Chapter and the Allen County Historical Society. He was an avid woodcarver and artist, creating many cartoons, poems and books throughout his lifetime. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Aleda M. Tagmeyer of Fort Wayne; brothers, Daniel B. (Bernice) Tagmeyer of Cassanovia, Wisc. and Richard M. (Mary) Tagmeyer of Fort Wayne; sisters, Siegrid E. (Si) Beldon of Collegeville, Pa., Peg Larson and Jane C. (David) Dawkins both Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by parents, Leonard C. and Velma Tagmeyer; and sister, Nancy T. Overton." He is son of Leonard Conrad Tagmeyer and Velma May Gingher.
