[27610] In 1850, worked as a carder for his father who operated a Woolen Mill in lower Amberson Valley; moved to Lurgan Twp by 1870. He is said to have been an official of Cumberland Co., PA. The 1 June 1880 federal census of Lurgan Twp., Franklin Co., PA lists him as a farmer and in his household are Rebecca (45 - wife), and children John (age 20), Oris ? (18), Clarence (16), Jequetta (15) and David (8). Franklin's Civil War pension record shows widow Rebecca J. Creamer who applied 22 March 1897 and Franklin who applied as an invalid in 1890 - indicating his service: "G.99. Pa. Inf." - Franklin enlisted 21 Sept 1864 and was mustered out of the PA Volunteers 31 May 1865.

Their daughter Mary (b. 27 Dec 1770 in York, ME, d. 3 Dec 1833) m. Simeon Parker (b. 4 May 1765, d. 5 May 1807), son of Judge Oliver Parker (1738-1818) and his first wife Eunice (d. 8 Feb 1767 in Groton, MA) - Judge Parker was an active Loyalist who r. in MA and then New Brunswick, and by 1787 was in Penobscot - living in Castine in 1794 where he was appointed Judge of Common Pleas Court about 1800 - finally r.
