Hiram & Lovisa had 5 children, born Vinalhaven:
1) Mary Eliza Bradstreet: 12 Sept 1864 - 30 Jan 1947, North Haven
2) Flora E Bradstreet: 15 Sept 1867 - 13 Feb 1933
3) Edgar Hiram Bradstreet: 17 Oct 1869 - 1957, Vinalhaven
4) Carrie Frances Bradstreet: 15 Mar 1879 -

Hiram is not listed in the 1860 Vinalhaven census.
Hiram served during the Civil War as a private in Co G, 28th Me Infantry from 20 Sep 1862 to 31 Aug 1863 for a total of 11 months 21 days. He was promoted to corporal. Ref 1890 Vinalhaven Veterans Schedule.
From Edward K Waterman (who died during the Civil War), 12 April 1863: I heard that Hiram Smith, Arthur Calderwood, Hiram Bradstreet was sick in the hospital.
On 13 Dec 1865 Hiram purchased from Ezra Calderwood 65 acres of land for $1000.
In 1870, Hiram and Lovisa are on Vinalhaven where he is a farmer with real estate valued at $1000 and personal property of $230.
Death Record: Lovisa L Bradstreet died on 28 Aug 1901 on Vinalhaven at the age of 60 years 6 months 28 days. Born on Vinalhaven, she was the daughter of Jesse Calderwood (born Vinalhaven, farmer) and Lavina Green (born Vinalhaven). She was the wife of H M Bradstreet. Cause of death: Bright's disease.
On 15 Oct 1901, E H Bradstreet was appointed administrator of Lovisa L Bradstreet's estate. Knox Co Probate File Number 5033

Born in Palermo on 3 June 1835, he was the son of Hale Bradstreet (born Palermo, farmer) and Eliza Marden (born Palermo). He was a married farmer. Cause of death: senile paralysis contributed to by broncho pneumonia.

She had resided on Vinalhaven for 48 years, with a previous residence of Concord, New Hampshire. She was the widow of Hiram Bradstreet. Cause of death: cerebral hemorrhage for 3 years.
