She was educated at Penobscot and Blue Hill schools and worked as a private caregiver for several elderly persons as well as being a certified nurses aide at the local nursing home. She was born Dec. 12, 1944 in Castine, the daughter of Hollis L. Farnham and Dorothy M. Conner. She was predeceased by her father in 1975. She is survived by her mother her beloved husband, Philip V. Harman of Penobscot; and cherished sons, Michael Philip Harman, Esq. of Millinocket, and Joseph Philip Harman of Castine; two sisters, Beverly A. Henry and her husband Edwin of Oradell, N.J., and their children, Edwin R. Henry V and Nicole of Tucson, Ariz., Barbara A. Willis and her husband Carleton of Castine and their children, Peter Willis and his wife Kathy of Hooksett, N.H. and Dana Willis and his wife Cindy of Penobscot; a brother, Dennis I. Farnham and his wife Ruthie of Penobscot and their children, Dennis I. Farnham, Jr of Castine, Debbie and Linda Farnham of Penobscot, and Teresa Higgins and her husband Kevin of Lewiston; a very special stepnephew, Steve Farnham and his wife Sally and their children, Matthew and Michael of Bucksport; a stepniece, Rosemary Begley and her son Jamie of Castine; three brothers-in-law, Henry Harman and his wife Helen and their children Holly and Harlan of Denton, Texas; Richard Harmon and his wife Abby and their children Chris and Amy of Falmouth, Mass. and Waldo P. Harmon of Castine, to whom she was very close; sister-in-law and close friends, Sylvia Young and her husband, Jack, of Owls Head and a special 'nephew' whom she cared for as a child, George A.
