[59591] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 3 June 2025: "Chester 'Chet' Alfred Seavey passed suddenly, at the age of 91, on May 17, 2025. He was born in Ellsworth July 29, 1933, to Leroy and Madeline (Merritt) Seavey. Chet met the love of his life, Wilma Walls, shortly before being drafted into the Army and sent to the Korean War. After returning, they married and eventually purchased their Bayside Road farm. He drove a truck for Checkerboard before moving on to his career with Ray Plumbing and Heating Company. He and Wilma have two daughters, Diane and Karen. They spent many happy years on the farm raising their children, many farm animals, dogs, cats and guinea pigs. They built many friendships from selling fresh vegetables, honey and kindling. They enjoyed vacationing/traveling/cruising to Arizona, Bermuda, Caribbean islands, Hawaiian/South Pacific islands, and Disney World. Wilma passed 15 years ago, and Chet kept her ashes in his home, so they now will be buried together. Their special love will be reunited forever! After Wilmas passing, Chet liked telling people he ate dinner at McDonalds every night to see and hear their reactions. He then would tell them that he joined Karen and Tom for dinner nightly."
