[45985] "The Call [Schuylkill Haven, PA], 25 March 1927," p. 5: "William Bubeck, a life long resident of Schuylkill Haven, died Monday afternoon at 5.30 o'clock at the Jefferson Hospital at which institution he underwent an operation Thursday of last week. He rallied following the operation and appeared bright and cheery. He looked forward to the second operation which was to have been performed this Thursday and had told his family it could not come too soon. Sunday evening however, a change for the worst was noted in his condition. Monday noon he lapsed into unconsciousness and passed peacefully away at 5.30. His death was a shock to the family as there had been most every assurance from his condition that he would recover. Deceased was 67 years of age. He is survived by his widow and these children, Miriam and Mildred at home, Mr. Harold Bubeck of Schuylkill Haven. These brothers and sisters survive, John, of Cressona; Charles, George, Clayton and Frank of town; Mrs. Minnie McKenna of Phila. and Mrs. Daniel Shappell, of Schuylkill Haven. Mr. Bubeck was born in Schuylkill Haven and spent his life here. He was employed as yard conductor in the Mine Hill Division for a period of 30 years and had only relinquished this work temporarily the early part of January on account of his health. Several times during the past few weeks he had recovered sufficiently to be about but each time suffered a relapse. In his early days he followed boating and when the canal was closed he was employed in Phila. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church. Fraternally he was connected with the Red Men, the Junior Mechanics and the O. R. C."
[29465] Sarah is daughter of Thomas Carlton (1712-1783) and Sarah _____ (1725-1795).
[60215] The unverified file L4WF-JVM in familysearch.org offers: "When Susanna Foster was born on 31 August 1786, in Granville Township, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada, her father, Benjamin Foster, was 31 and her mother, Elizabeth Richardson, was 28. She married Francis Tupper on 16 March 1803, in Aylesford, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 8 daughters. She died on 15 December 1882, in Aylesford, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada, at the age of 96."
Findagrave.com offers Mildred's obituary: "Mildred Dugan Murchison, 87, died at her daughter's home, Thursday, August 23, 2012, after a long illness. Born in Rockland, December 24, 1924, she was the daughter of Ernest H. and Lottie F. Demmons Grover. She attended Rockland schools. She began working at an early age in area seafood processing plants. In 1946 she married John O. Dugan. The couple made their home in Rockland where their five children were born. Mr. Dugan died March 27, 1960. In the early 1960s, she began working as a seamstress at Atlantic Sportswear in Rockland, where she worked several years as lead seamstress, supporting her family. In 1967, Mildred married Arthur Murchison of Lincoln. Mildred moved with her children to her husband's home in Lincoln, where they resided two years. Upon the closing of the Eastern Fine Paper Mill where Mr. Murchison worked, the Murchison family moved with their children to Montclair, California. Mr. Murchison died in 1981. Mildred remained in California, where she worked as a Property Manager, until moving back to Maine in 2000. She lived at the Knox Hotel Apartments in Thomaston, until moving to her daughter's home in March of this year. Her family and friends were Mildred's greatest joy. She loved going with them anywhere and anytime they went anywhere. She was a consummate shopper, but was ardently passionate at finding the best deal and never was shy to ask a merchant if that was the best price. For many years, she enjoyed making decorative pillows which she sold at swap meets and craft fairs. Mildred always took comfort and pleasure in caring for others, and when she worked as a property manger in California, often hosted what she called 'Happy Hours,' for less fortunate residents. Mildred will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cheryl Dugan and her companion David Higley of Appleton; four sons, John O. Dugan and his wife Melody of Warren, Ernie 'Bub' Dugan, Henry Dugan and his companion Marji Feldpausch all of Owls Head, Stephen Dugan and his wife Mary Kay of California; her sister Betty Goodwin and her husband William of Norwich, Connecticut; 10 grandchildren, Lisa Ann George, John O. Dugan, Jr., Jennifer Dugan, Angie Dugan, Lincoln Whitney and Carrin, Arthur Whitney, Melissa Maxwell and Matthew, Stephen Dugan, Sean Dugan, Jeremy Lee Taylor-Farley; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, Bentley Whitney.
