He entered the post office after graduating from Miami University of Ohio. He r. 28 S. Fourth St., Tipp City. He taught Sunday School and was superintendent of the school of Zion Lutheran Church. He was survived by his wife, Mary, son Dan of Dayton, Ohio, and two sisters, Margaret Davis of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Paul Braunschweiger of Troy, Ohio.

[56128] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 22 March 2024: "Zephyrhills, Fla. - CW3 Frederick Carroll Dow, 91, passed away Feb. 23, 2024, at his home in Zephyrhills, Fla. He was born in Gouldsboro, the son of Neal K. and Marcia G. (Foss) Dow Sr. Fred attended Steuben High School. He enlisted in the Army Nov. 18, 1952. He married Marie Ellen Patterson, from Georgia, on Dec. 2, 1955. Fred did five tours of duty overseas, which were: Korea, Marshall Islands, Germany and twice in Vietnam. He was a decorated war hero and was awarded many medals of honor including Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal (1st OLC), Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Commendation Medal (2d OLC) and Bronze Star Medal. After retiring from the Army with 22 years of service he became a school bus driver for Sumner Memorial High School and retired with 20 years of service."

Ingjald was fed the roasted heart of a wolf when he was a young boy and from that time forward he was a ferocious person. On one occasion, Ingjald prepared a great feast to which he invited many of the important leaders in Sweden. Among others, six kings were present. When the guests became adequately drunk, Ingjald and his cohorts set fire to the house, burning all those inside. This strategy was used several times by Ingjald - the last time when he found himself facing defeat - and rather than face his enemies, he and all his party became dead drunk, set the hall on fire, consuming all within.
