[29119] Benjamin's obituary in The Herald of Truth: "On the 20th of Feb.1898 at the home of his son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Christian Horst, near East Greenville, Stark Co., Ohio, Benjamin Brenneman, aged 79 years, 8 months and 15 days. He was born in Lancaster Co., Pa., June 5th 1818. He was married to Mary Hursh, who preceded him to the glory world about ten years ago. He leaves six children, twenty five grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister to mourn his departure. He was a consistent member of the Mennonite Church for many years. He took sick very suddenly with paralysis, of which he suffered only about five days when the Lord released him from his pain, and he has now gone home, we hope, to meet the loved ones who have gone before. Since the death of his wife, he had his home among some of his children where he is greatly missed. Funeral on Tuesday Feb. 22nd. Buried at the Martin M. H., where services were conducted by Bro. I. J. Buchwalter at the house and Bro. D. Garber and Bro. D. Hostetler at the church, from 1 Cor. 15:54." See http://aqua.dev.uga.edu/~lebo/brenneman-pa_geno.html for ancestry.
[47379] Find A Grave memorial 40469945 offers: "It is very likely Jacob Byerly was buried in Saxonburg Cemetery because Sarverville Cemetery was not established at the time of his death. Then a stone was erected for him in Sarverville with the rest of his family at a later time. But they also left the original stone in Saxonburg Cemetery."

[479] Sarah's husband and the father of Rodolphus Elms are apparently not known, but probably closely related to John, shown here. Sarah is of Southwark, Surrey, England, according to E. Claire Kaplan, 12/91 - cf. Henry Waters' "Genealogical Gleanings." For further information on this family, see "History of Scituate, Massachusetts," Samuel Deane (Boston: James Loring, 1831), p. 266. See "The Great Migration, Immigrants to New England, 1634-1635, Volume II, C-F," Robert Charles Anderson, George F. Sanborn, Jr., and Melinde Lutz Sanborn (Boston: New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2001) pp. 424-426. Also see"The English Ancestry of Rodolphus1 Elmes of Scituate, Massachusetts, and His Cousins John and Samuel Elmes and Lydia M. (Latrobe) Roosevelt of New York" by Robert Battle & Henry B. Hoff in "The Register" of the NEHGS, Vol. 176 (Summer 2022), pp. 233-248. Also see "The Immigrant Rodolphus Elmes, His Wife Catherine Whitcomb, and Their Descendants, Robert G.
